Dentures are removable restorations that replace missing teeth and restore chewing function and facial support. At NL Clinic in Katowice we match the type of denture to the number of gaps, the condition of the mouth and the patient's expectations. The first step is a consultation and examination.
Types of dentures we make
- Acrylic denture (full or partial) and a small 1-3 tooth denture for single gaps.
- Immediate acrylic denture, fitted shortly after tooth loss, for the healing period.
- Framework denture on a metal frame, more stable and gentler on the gums; also with attachments or clasps.
- Flexible denture (nylon, acetal) and a flexible micro-denture (1-2 teeth), without visible metal clasps.
- Denture on mini-implants, stabilised for better retention (see implants).
We also repair and service dentures: adding a tooth or element, bonding, relining and mesh reinforcement. Premium teeth are available.
When a denture, and when another solution
We choose the type of restoration after an examination: we assess the number and position of gaps, the condition of the gums and the remaining teeth. In some cases a fixed restoration (a bridge or crown within prosthetics) or an implant-supported solution is a better option. We discuss this during the consultation.
How the treatment works
Treatment usually takes several visits: examination and plan, impressions (digital intraoral scanning is possible), try-ins and delivery of the finished work. The number of visits and the time depend on the type of denture and the clinical situation. A new denture requires a period of getting used to it.
Safety and use
At first there may be temporary difficulties with speaking and eating, and pressure points that need adjusting. Denture hygiene, regular check-ups and refitting after changes in the mouth are important. Pain, sores or inflammation are a reason to contact the clinic.

Our approach
We work with digital diagnostics and an intraoral scanner (digital impressions), and use CBCT imaging when needed. We care about everyday comfort, so we take time for try-ins and adjustments. For anxious patients, inhalation sedation is available. We work privately and try to offer an early appointment.
