Michał Pułtorak MD, specialist urologist (FEBU), seeing patients at NL Clinic in Katowice

About the doctor – dr Michał Pułtorak (FEBU)

He graduated from the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (Faculty of Medicine in Zabrze) in 2012 and obtained the title of specialist in urology in 2020. He has more than a decade of experience in urology – in 2020–2022 he served as deputy and then head of the Ward of Urology and Urological Oncology. He currently runs a urology practice, combining work in the public and private sectors; he sees patients, among others, at NL Clinic in Katowice.

In his practice he focuses on the treatment of urinary tract stones. He uses, among others, the RIRS method with single-use equipment featuring the digital LithoVue system (Boston Scientific), which is intended to reduce the risk of traumatic and infectious complications. He fragments stones both in the ureters (URS) and in the urinary bladder (cystolithotripsy), using a 100 W holmium laser (Quanta system).

He also performs REZUM procedures, which involve the minimally invasive delivery of water vapour to the prostate gland to reduce its volume, without completely removing the prostate. He has experience in advanced endoscopic procedures – HOLEP, TUEB, TUR-P plasma – in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, bladder tumours (TUR-BT) and urinary tract stones (URS/RIRS).
